The EARTH CITIZENS ACCORD: Seeking 1 Billion Signers By 2014

The EARTH CITIZENS ACCORD is a call to Earth lovers worldwide to publicly pledge 4% of their time* and/or income back to the planet via the dimensions of TEAM, ART, LOGIC and LOVE.

Since its kick-off on last Earth Day from Boulder, Colorado, individuals from around the world have signed the EARTH CITIZENS ACCORD as way to help unite and empower our planet's ecological movements and voices.

Signers who meet their monthly EARTH CITIZENS ACCORD goals are rewarded with a monthly email with EARTHEE music (mp3), art and stories. Those who post their scores online can also win up to $4,444 in the free monthly ECOLotto drawings. Plus, signers can get EARTHEE discounts from participating businesses when they show their EARTH CITIZENS ACCORD member card/ mini-scorecard.

MY GOAL IS TO SUPPORT ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS AND NON-PROFIT TEAMS THAT PROTECT THE EARTH -- WITH 1% OR MORE OF MY TIME* AND/OR NET INCOME.
[*1% is 1.5 hours based on 150 hour work-month.]
Eco organizations and Teams are essential Earth defenders in the courts, media, government, field and community.

ART:
MY GOAL IS TO SPEAK, WRITE, CREATE MEDIA OR ECO ART TO INFORM, INSPIRE, AND TO REWARD OTHERS FOR HELPING THE EARTH -- WITH 1% OR MORE OF MY TIME*.
Every Earth lover can "become the media for the planet" by using their words, actions and talents in a passionate or Artful way.

LOGIC:
MY GOAL IS TO USE LOGIC AND SCIENCE TO MAKE THE MOST EARTH FRIENDLY LIFESTYLE, CONSUMER AND WORK DECISIONS -- 1% OR MORE OF THE TIME*.
Eco Logic and science is an exciting journey into the future benefits of our current eco actions on life locally and worldwide.

LOVE:
MY GOAL IS TO EXPLORE AND EMBRACE THE LOVE, BEAUTY, WISDOM AND WIT OF THE EARTH'S SPECIES AND ECOSYSTEMS WITH 1% OR MORE OF MY TIME*.
Time in nature, spiritual and life-science studies, music and the arts are ways to connect with the web-of-life's wisdoms and Love.

Every citizen has the power to help reverse the current trend towards ever more violent weather and global political turmoil. Therefore, I would like to invite my neighbors to join me in making the following pledge.

AS A CITIZEN of this exquisite and endangered biosphere, I consider it crucial that I help defend its land, water and air. Therefore -- to manifest a united voice and ecological actions for the benefit of all species and humanity, and to promote peace -- I affirm these four 1% goals.

TEAM: My goal is to support environmental organizations and non-profit teams that protect the Earth -- with 1% or more of my time* and/or net income.
[*1% is 1.5 hours based on 150 hour work-month.]

ART: My goal is to speak, write, create media or eco art to inform, inspire, and to reward others for helping the Earth -- with 1% or more of my time*.

LOGIC: My goal is to use logic and science to make the most Earth friendly lifestyle, consumer and work decisions -- 1% or more of the time*.

LOVE: My goal is to explore and embrace the love, beauty, wisdom and wit of the Earth's species and ecosystems -- with 1% or more of my time*.

This pledge that comes from the Earth Citizens Accord project that is seeking 1 billion signers by 2014. I think signing the ECA is a sweet way for citizens to stand together for ecological and political peace. Plus, those who meet their Earth Accord goals get a monthly email with music (mp3), art and stories as a reward.

Letter to the Editor:

The violent weather and political unrest that's going on around the world is NOT an irrevocable trend. I would like to invite my neighbors to join me in the following pledge to take actions that will help sway these dangerous directions.

My goal is to support environmental organizations and non-profit teams that protect the Earth with 1% or more of my time* and/or net income.

I hope that others agree that these are worthy goals and that it is high time that we as citizens stand together with a united voice for ecological and political peace.
